Research

We collect wolf and coyote scat in Ontario and Quebec to provide genetic profiles for individual animals. With our growing database, we can track individual animals, identify hybrids, and refine our understanding of Eastern Wolf distribution.

Outreach

We develop outreach programs that get the public involved in wolf conservation. We've organized experiential programs for high school students, developed citizen science workshops for sample collection, and presented to community groups.

Conservation

Top predators are important for healthy, naturally-regulated ecosystems. Our research involves asking questions that help inform conservation of Eastern Wolves (aka Algonquin Wolves), which have been  assessed as threatened by COSEWIC and COSSARO.
