Killarney Provincial Park Citizen Science Survey 2018
Almost a dozen people braved extremely cold and icy conditions to travel to Killarney Park to join us for our citizen science DNA survey in January 2018. The samples collected by citizen scientists are being used to design and validate a SNP (single-nucleotide polymorphism) assay that will enable genetic labs across to differentiate eastern wolves from other Canis types (including hybrids, eastern coyotes, and grey/Great Lakes Boreal wolves).
