Citizen Science - Killarney Provincial Park
With support from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry's Species At Risk Stewardship Fund, we held citizen science survey days in Killarney Park. Following a talk and some brief training, people ventured onto the trails to collect scat samples that provide individual genotypes that allow us to refine the distribution of Algonquin wolves outside the park. Check out the links below to view some of the photos from the events. |

Past Programs - Youth Outreach
When we first started out, we offered experiential youth outreach programs in Algonquin Provincial Park. Students were involved in scientific research outside the traditional classroom. Our program provided local high school groups with field and lab experiences, along with guest presentations from prominent researchers and naturalists. We are grateful for the facilities at the University of Waterloo Summit Centre for the Environment and the key staff from Algonquin Provincial Park who helped make this happen.
